AT THE DAWN OF A LIFE (Rasamindrakotroka Andry Tiana)

At breaking dawn, a tender ray is born,
The sun ascends, serene, adorned;
Like trembling hearts at longing’s gate,
Light breathes the life that shapes our fate.

It climbs with grace through boundless blue,
While life moves on, both soft and true;
One spreads its fire on waiting earth,
The other seeks its meaning’s birth.

When darkened clouds obscure its golden face,
Life learns through pain to stand with grace;
The sun, through storms, still claims its reign,
While life seeks strength through loss and pain.

Unwearied, still, the sun moves on its way,
And life dreams far beyond the day;
Both carve their path through toil and fire,
One lights the sky, one climbs still higher.

Man’s destiny, in unseen lines,
Is cradled deep where mystery shines;
Yet through his choices, strength, and will,
He shapes the path he travels still.
