You love us, O eternal Lord of light,
faithful our guide through silent, shifting days;
your flame of love burns gently, ever bright,
and marks our path with undeserved grace.

When darkness gathers, veiling truth from view,
and snares arise beneath uncertain skies,
Your strength within our trembling hearts renews,
we walk with trust, though storms around us rise.

You love us still, your hand in silence molds,
our every breath, our rising and our rest;
your mercy, like a hidden river, holds,
the seed of peace within each tested chest.

When weariness lays claim upon our soul,
and tears fall quietly, unnamed, unheard,
You breathe a dawn that makes the broken whole,
and from our pain, your glory is conferred.

You love us now, not only long ago,
no time, no grief can pull your love away.
Your angels guard the steps we do not know,
and sing your truth through night and into day.

They light the roads where solitude may creep,
and turn each wound into a budding grace;
even the cross becomes a gift we keep,
when seen beneath your patient, holy face.

You love us through the seasons of our years,
You teach us strength, and dignity, and peace;
You raise in us a will that casts out fears,
and bids all restless wanderings to cease.

You teach us still, far from the path of flight,
to stand in faith, to hold and not betray;
for fleeing dims the covenant of light, —
but worship is the triumph of the way.
