The world spins fast, the hours fade,
the days slip by, like light and shade.
And in our hearts, a silent reel
replays the dreams we used to feel.

There were cold winds, and nights so long,
harsh silences where love felt wrong.
But hand in hand, we held on tight,
we crossed the storms, we faced the night.

Love is not just a fleeting flame,
but a quiet fire that calls our name.
It warms the days when hope feels thin,
and guides us gently from within.

We shed some tears no eyes could see,
but found again our smile, softly.
Our strength was faith in what’s ahead,
believing still when fears had spread.

Yes, sleepless nights and empty sheets,
and walls that rose when trust retreats.
But still we stood, we did not flee,
we braved the storm with dignity.

It wasn't fate that bound our way,
but choosing love, day after day.
Each step we took through trials unseen,
made stronger what had once been green.

We learned to speak, and to forgive,
to search for peace, to truly live.
We walked through paths both rough and steep,
and held each other, soul-deep.

Even at two, the world stays wide,
with traps and lures on either side.
But you, my rock, through joy and strife,
stood firm with me, the love of life.

Not just a spark for one brief spring,
but roots that grow through everything.
And stone by stone, with patient grace,
we built a home, a lasting place.

This life for two is not all ease,
but it's a vow that time won’t tease.
And when the children take their flight,
we find ourselves again alight.

We meet anew, serene and kind,
with wrinkled hands and clearer mind.
And in the peace we've made our own,
we hold a love that's deeply grown.
